Pascal De Bel Pascal De Bel has been regional secretary of BBTK (the Belgian union of employees, technicians and executives of the socialist union ABVV) since 1993. Before that, he was secretary of another union in the financial sector. In the eighties he coordinated the training department of trade union youth. Pascal De Bel has been working on initiatives on equality between women and men at work. Since 1993 he has shown a firm commitment to the rights of LGBT union members. Acknowledging the need for international cooperation on this issue, he was the Belgian representative in the preparations for the 1998 International Conference on Trade unions, Homosexuality and Work in Amsterdam. Pascal De Bel coordinated and moderated the panel discussion on Labour Unions and LGBT rights at the Antwerp conference. |
